Vendetta. One of the original platform based fighting games, Vendetta was released in 1991. Features included random objects which could be collected and thrown at enemies, the ability to kick and beat opponents while they lay stunned on the ground, and eight different weapons which could be either taken from opponents or found lying about in the street. Vendetta was also somewhat . . . . politically incorrect in its original incarnation, and was censored for release outside the Japanese market.
I've seen TCSM:TNG. A few of my friends rented it years ago, must've been '95 or so. I hated every moment of it and it's one of the only films that made me feel dirty watching it and I've seen such shite as Max Payne.
@Greasemonkey - there's a similar boss in the third Streets of Rage game on the Genesis that was cut from the non-Japanese versions of the game. Can't imagine why... Happens a lot, some Japanese developers seem to find camp gay stereotypes really amusing for some reason.
