This is my most popular photo on Flickr. It is the latest in a very long line of "my most popular photo on Flickr" photos that have left me scratching my head and thinking, "Them people is nuts!"
i have a huge backlog from the end of April, when i was travelling, and a few photos from summer camp this year, but i'm trying to post things without any computer editing. to wit:
Fort Brockhurst, Gosport UK. Part of the Victorian defensive ring around Portsmouth dockyard, this one was designed to guard against attack from the west. Fascinating place - the army left it in the middle of the last century and it's been cleared and tidied up since then, but looking a bit faded.
@Coop, hey man thats my house in the background! The house of Evil Spirits is my throne room. Bombay Beac is fascinating, the only place I have enver been where the flight and abandonment is ongoing and yet folks hang on there living side by side with derelict houses. I blasted Godspeed! You Black Emperor the whole way down Box Canyon road en route to The Salton Sea to put me in the proper frame of apocalyptic mind. I want to go back there and explore some more but I have to wait for the ennui from this trip there to dissipate.
Now all we need is for Ms. Florence Chan to drop in Urbex dilapidation and this thread is off to a good start!
If spiders the size of your hand makes you crap your pants, do not click this link to the photo I decided to not embed here out of kindness even though I wanted to share the image.
