I know I'm a bit late to the party, but: Congratulations, Argos!

Huh. Turns out I may be on my way to becoming the live sound guy for this bunch:

This is awesome, because I simply adore the band.

Congrats on moving in with Big Daddy S Citrus! Robin, out of interest, are you sparring or just training? Thinking of taking it up[ myself... Rachel as Audrey Horne = awesome. I love this thread.

I'm spending a week in Berlin with my wee bro. So far I've been to Tacheles, the huge art squat in Oranienburg Strasse, and to a spoken word concert, where Danielle de Picciotto read from her book The Beauty of Trangression, about the growth of the Berlin techno / alternative scene through the 80s and 90s, to a soundtrack by her husband Alexander Hacke of Einsturzende Neubaten.

It was an incredible gig, a unique, subjective look at a really fascinating period in berlin's history. Picciotto hung out with Neubaten, The Bad Seeds, DJ Hell and Blixa Bargeld, and was instrumental in he;ping set up Taschele and other galleries - all of this was documented with projected photos and super-8 footage.

Heard about the event from a witch house / dark electronica label called Pale Musik, and I was very impressed at the level of sophistication and intelligence the event displayed. Hope to find more of this kind of thing while I'm here.

Bram, Currently I haven't sparred yet, so I guess I'm still in the "training" stage. Working out the stances, punches etc.

The training always looked more fun to me. Not that I mind taking a punch or whatever... just never been big on the competetive aspect of sports. Congratulations on sticking with it, and the running, I have great difficulty keeping exercise programs up!

Been years since I got in a ring, but it was a lot of fun. Got to spar with a couple of golden glovers (who took it easy on me) at one point. A good friend of mine was (still is) a boxing coach and owned a gym in Lancaster, PA. Great guy.

Wish I could go back to it, but my knees wouldn't let me anymore. Getting old sucks.

This past Sunday I celebrated my first Father's Day with this guy. Yes, it's a Hallmark Holiday but still.

I too got some new kicks, not Chucks though, they don't make me feel faster, just classier.

@ren I rarely think kids are cute but that kid sure is.

    Adorable baby, RenThing.

So...I got informed that the album cover I shot for Jo Hikk's THE GAME is in the final round to being nominated for a Canadian Country Music Award for Album Cover of the Year. Already it's been placed in the Top 10 best country music album covers in the country. So fingers, everyone. Keep them crossed for me!

    Oldhat, so awesome!! :D

    And thanks Alan Tyson ^_^

Um, only thing fabulous for me lately is that I finally patched an inner thigh hole in my favorite pair of pants. I'm hoping to get back on track with exercising and eating well soon, since lately what with my graduation, moving to a new apt, Father's day, and a slew of other things, it's been lots of celebration eating and not much time/energy to workout. Good news is that I've been mostly able to stay in a "weight maintenance" mode, even if I'm not currently losing weight, though I did go up a couple pounds, but 2 or 3 lbs isn't too much to worry about. *phew*

    Lovely thread of happy times!

I stretched my earlobes to 12mm today, and got a slight sunburn too. Happies!

    @All

Thanks on the compliments but I blame the cuteness on his mother. He was pretty much perfect on the plane down to San Diego this weekend. He didn't cry once, we gave him a bottle at take off to help his ears equalize with the pressure change (since baby's can't do it on their own), and he slept through landing like it was nothing.

I am fat, but apparently I am also a glutton for punishment and needing to do laundry. However, today I grabbed a shirt that I used to have to roll on like a condom which made me avoid wearing it all but once. Today, being a low tide in laundry, said shirt was on top, I grabbed it, knew it would be a bad idea and low and behold I put it on and it fits, well, with three inches of guttural clearance. It is safe to say that I am less fat now. I am approaching gross milestone which, while great news, is a reminder how nasty I was. I may still be vilely overweight, but I am getting much closer to huggable.
