The usual listening thread for June.

    Amon Tobin - ISAM artwork

I've just ordered (and have been caning the DL) of a copy of Amon Tobin's ISAM artbook CD - the full album is on soundcloud with a track by track commentary from Tobin.

So Whitechapel What are you listening to?

going through some old emo-violence stuff, listening to a lot of BLOOD BROTHERS, ORCHID, HASSAN I SABBAH and other noisy chaotic things.

the future: when its faster to type 'HASSAN I SABBAH MEDIAFIRE ZIP' into my computer than to find where the 7"s are in my shelves. im ashamed.

I've been on a bit of a doom kick lately, and that led me to discover this excellent German death/doom band. I think I'm going to pick this album up.

And on a totally different track, I've spun Herbie Hancock's debut album Takin' Off a couple times this week. One of my favorite bebop records of all time.

As it's June 6th, the 67th anniversary of the storming of Normandy on D-Day, it's entirely appropriate to listen to this song very loudly and accuse anyone who complains, of being a communist.

    Sabaton - Primo Victoria

This is pretty much exactly what I've come to expect from Kong. It's unbelievably noisy and I can't help but laugh at how ridiculous the singer's persona is.
