I'm imagining some badass Sin City style on the black 'n white animated series of Michael Lee's violent road to stick-up notoriety...

This thread lies somewhere between amazing and something that is so amazing that there's not even a word for it yet. Well done, everyone.

That said, BillyPineapples? That right there? I would watch that without irony. Hell, I'd buy a print of that. Pitch-perfect. Sure, not as funny, but still.

(Related: I can't find a link right now, but I believe that David Simon recently told Eric Holder that he'd make a 6th season of The Wire if the US quit with the whole War On Drugs thing. So...that's not happening.)

Thanks kozmund, much appreciated... So pleased when I found this site, a combination of my two favourite things - comics and The Wire...

Even though any future Wire media (I heard nightmarish rumours of a 1st-person shooter compooter game, you play Omar) may be totally tragic, there's still a part o' me that itches to see some kinda Wire comic book... The Rise of Michael, The Fall of Dukie, kosmograd's Little Omar 'n Frendz... Hell, I wanna see "Prop Joe: The Teenage Years"...

... Warren, you wanna write? I'll draw.

Aaand BillyPineapples finally just knocks that across the state lines.

(Not to be a slight to any of the previous entries, but DAMN. I mean, if I say this beats The Sizer for me, that's saying something, right?)
