I will be in NYC next week from the 15th to the morning of the 19th. Aside from Friday night, where I will be attending a Broadway show and something for father's day where I'll be with the family, I should be free. So would anyone fancy a meet-up?
Oh shit... Depending on my work schedule, and how much cash I get from my old job's last paycheck, I will certainly try to make it up, though I can't make any promises YET.
Hmm on second thought, I'm actually not sure if I have the time for this. Really, Thursday night will probably be one of the only nights I can do it. Days are no problem, but it's a problem to everyone else.
Just went freelance, my days are free as can be. Bell House works great for me. I'm most likely down for whatever so no matter what gimme a shout if you find yourself bored at a bar.
Just got my work schedule, and Thursday is free. If I can wrangle the cash for a train ticket, and if I stand half a chance of getting there from the train station alive (never been to NYC, so no idea which streets are bad... but I want a fucking urban adventure anyway, dammit!)... then I think I can make it!
haha so wow, Thursday night it is. Meet at the Shatner party and see where it goes from there? I guess I can always walk to the Q line to get back to Manhattan if ti gets late...
Dear Alan: You will not be going down any "bad" streets. Abandoned looking and industrial, yes. But there's no creepy characters or criminals. Just random lone hipsters walking dogs.
Remember to make sure you are getting on the subway going int he right direction. If you are not sure, just ask strangers. Subway people are brusque, but will always help if they can.
Aside from walking inside Penn Station / Grand Central to the subway, and from subway transfer to subway transfer, you will walk approximately 3 blocks of Brooklyn Streets.
