    @curb - I think I'd quite happily read a weekly strip which consisted soley of Paul's pictures of flooded London.

    Also seconded. That's the problem with turning up late, everyone's already said what I wanted to :)

    My week has been made more interesting by the threat of legal action from the Strata company over a few thousand dollars of unpaid strata fees. There are times that being charmingly absent minded can be a real disadvantage. But hey, I have the money, it's just a pain to see it vanish when my bank account was actually starting to look nice and healthy for once.

    Could someone please give a recap of the buildings we are seeing?

    I'm from Texas, haven't been in London in 40 years. All I know is "that's a famous building". I recognized the Gherkin.

    Odds are the officer won't show up, and you'll be rescheduled. If it happens enough the ticket gets thrown out. Keep showing up; tickets are written with the idea in mind most people don't want to lose money for taking a day off off work, and it's easier/cheaper to just pay the ticket.

    Also, if you do have to deal with the actual judge, and plan on not fighting the ticket itself, and beg for mercy of the court, I always suggest to admitting the error, based on a making a simple (or dumb) mistake, an honest apology, and stuff like that.

    No thoughts about Arkady getting lucky, too? When we first saw her, I thought the Buddha would be more likely to engage in sex and/or romance. She's come a long way since Karl convinced her to put on panties.

    First time poster, long time reader... well, relatively long I suppose. I had been pacing my viewing out since about 6 months ago when I first found FreakAngels; this movie is FEKKING ART and I wanted to make it last. But a couple weeks ago I was around the point where they caught Luke mind/body-raping that girl, I couldn't stop reading. stayed up all night, half the next day reading and rereading until it was all used up. And I was all used up.

    With the new episode I decided to join the forum... and I guess I'm a wee bit behind the curve, cuz now I read in like the second thread I open that this movie has a scheduled end, and now I'm just FREAKING OUT cuz I got involved right at the end. Just like I did with Firefly, and Torchwood, and... and...

    Anyways. Just wanted to let you guys know... you're an incredible team, and yes I know... all good things,etc. And I'm really gonna miss FreakAngels when their story's done, but I'm also going to be looking forward to whatever you decide to do in the future. You guys give us readers something to look forward to at the end of a long, hard day... and I don't know how to say how valuable a thing that is in this crazy age. Thank you.

    Just wanted to join the chorus of appreciation here. The uber-arc of FreakAngels has enthralled me since mid last year, and seeing it now curve to a close is giving me those short-breathed palpitations that I don't know if I should love or loathe. It's like the last chapter of a favourite book, you want to slow down and make it last, involve your surroundings and drink everything in to make a tattoo of the moment when it finally ends. I am of half a mind to save the last chapter, when it comes, as an emergency heart-shot, and not to read it until I'm at a lowpoint in life. Actually, f*ck the drama, just thanks for being Important so fast.

    Thanks @gov spy that's sort of what I'm hoping for, but it's hard to feel sure that's what is expected - I'm going on Tuesday to the court only because it's convenient. It's the very last day for me to respond to the ticket; I don't have an actual court date. If I asked for a trial I'd have to put up the fine amount as bail. But the whole point is that I don't have that kind of money. Hence wandering on up and hoping to find some clemency or at least greater clarity.
