No, I'm getting more active now - especially through my site. The good thing also is the new site can get through my work firewall! I am also waiting for the iPhone and iPad app updates which should be due this summer!

I'm liking the new site design, so much easier to use. The old one made me not want to use it, really. Not active in the community though.

 I like the new design.
Unfortunately I also found out they never deleted my account like they told me some time ago. Oh well.
I think they have neat ideas, just eh- I'm wary on the customer side of things.

I sell the first two comic-length issues of my graphic novel, Nathan Sorry, on there. Thinking about maybe offering them for free there and adding the first full volume for sale. I've bought a handful of comics on there myself but it's been a while since I've used it because I find their iPad app to be very buggy.

Graphicly is in an interesting place right now. While everyone is talking about digital comics they just swung the other way this week and seem to be moving towards web-based comics. They've updated their browser experience a lot recently but haven't done anything really to improve their iPad app in the past year. I really like how they differentiate themselves with the social aspect but it will be interesting to see if they are right with the direction they are taking right now.

I think it'll probably prove a smart move. Reading comics on the phone is just a bit awkward, and unless you're going to throw money at re-inventing Comixology's guided-view system for yourself... well, stop right there. Why do that? Assume that in the majority of cases people are going to be reading comics on a big screen. Once you go HTML 5, you don't need an app, except as a wrapper for your own website.

Yeah I think you're right. It's smart as a differentiating point. Also as a way of building the community aspect. I haven't seen a whole lot of use of their built-in commenting system to this point at least in the comics that I've read but I love the idea and taking comics to the web and outside the walled garden of an app is a smart way to try to build discussion about books that can be taken to Facebook, Twitter and various blogs.

I prefer reading comics with a tablet and through an app rather than in a browser on a desktop/laptop but this is a hybrid that takes the best of both worlds.
