    Florence, thanks for the recommendations about photo critique! i entered a shot in the Delete Me group today, and am waiting for the cuntiness to roll.
    (also, the silhouette is me! ahhh, nostalgia. i wanted to add to the "CBC doesn't pay their sources" conversation that Kowalski was interviewed for an urban-exploration feature, and the interviewer was apparently a huge imbecile, and treated it as though the participants actually *wanted* news coverage and should be trying to prove themselves worthy.)

    YES, THEY ARE. Grease, your lovely lady wife (to whom I probably owe great apologies, for some reason or another) was going to scan them for me so I can get copies and show them to an archivist and not get arrested.

    The comics are also, obviously MINE.

    First, let me say I had a GREAT time. And also that I apologize to you all for even showing up.

    DJ: I'm sorry I ribbed you about being y'all.
    Jimmy: I'm sorry I thought you and your friend were cops. It was the potato salad talking.
    Allana : I wish I'd gotten a chance to talk to you more before I turned into ... whatever I apparently turned into. (IT WAS THE ULTIMATE VERSION OF MYSELF!) Also, the potato salad.
    Lucien : ... sorry I'm an asshole ... ? We cool, right? You ain't said nothin' yet.
    Oldhat : I'm sorry I can't possibly be stopped by being grabbed by the neck. (OH, IF ONLY IT WERE THAT EASY!!!) And you ARE Big Barda LeBlanc, in my eyes, now and forever. And you can beat me up ALL YOU LIKE and I totally won't be happy about that. (Tee hee ...) Please don't actually beat me up. My throat is fine but I can't take much more like that. No wonder I was thirsty the next day.
    Alan Tyson : I hope you spelled me name correctly in the report. Also, excellent to meet you, sir. Truly, you are a credit to your race of Americanisms. And please don't think I'm a commie or a pugilist, okay? BECAUSE I AIN'T.

    I'll be better the next time (if there IS a next time, for a mutant like me) and I'm working on finding us a venue more suitable to our ... particularness. (Might take a month so September, I think, might be Hex-Style.)

    Holy crap, Rasputin booze. What's it officially called? And does it taste good enough for me to run over to Beers of the World?

    Also, I wish so much I could have gone! My friend who was supposed to come over for the weekend stood me up! Grah!

    If you guys have a late August gathering, I might not be too moon-faced (due to tooth surgery) to attend! I will tell my boyfriend it can be his anniversary gift to me to take me up :D

    If there is another gathering soon, depending on what my financial situation is at the time, my previous offer of ride-osity still stands, for you and your beau.

    Robin, you should know by now that the only way to escape documentation of your existence is to bring your camera and then hide behind it.

    Also, may I propose a hangout/gaming fiasco at snakes and lattes before the drunkening begins next time? I can't tell you how cranky I am about still not having gone there.

    @ Hex....I wasn't kidding about that documentary. I'm starting work on a series of shorts on people in Toronto, and if you are open to it, we need to talk.

    I had an amazingly good time, though I didn't talk to half of you nearly enough.
    apologies to allana for tricking her into a conversation that started about writing but turned to Batman. Next time, I'll try to lower the nerdity (though it's hard not to talk comics when Hex is in the room, the man knows about things like King Solomon's Frogs, which no one else I have ever met does.)
