Does anyone need vegetarian or kosher options (I am a fairly decent kosher cook where necessary), and is anyone allergic to anything? I have two cats and we'll probably be smoking through the night, just so you're all aware beforehand.

I'm actually a vegetarian, though i've fallen off the wagon a couple times in the last month (i go years without eating meat, then I suddenly get the craving for a burger)

If there is a meatless option, i'd probably take it, but if I'm the sole vegetarian, don't bother worry about me I'll make do. Food restrictions quickly become a pain in the ass, so that's the last thing I want a host to have to deal with. Planning on doing a Raw food detox, but I realized I better wait till AFTER the meet up, or the drinking will kill me.

I can't imagine this will be an issue, but worth noting, I have an allergy to Moose. Had moose meat in my early teens and it almost killed me. Seriously. (Stupidest allergy ever, I know)

I'm planning on making potato salad and a big garden salad, so you won't be going hungry. Will be serving cold chicken as well, for those who like to avoid red meat.

I have no plans to serve moose at this point.

@chainsaw- I just drove from Rochester to Montreal (for Mutek). Do you live in Rochester?

@Alan- That would be awesome! I'll just have to figure out a way to Buffalo (totally unsure if my boyfriend/chauffeur is leaving Saturday or earlier than Saturday), as well as a location to meet up. But nuts about not being kidnappers ;)

@Greasemonkey- I had nightmares from the bone graft surgery! They didn't prepare me at all mentally- and I'm allergic to codeine, so it was just ibuprofen for me :(

@everyone- if I can make it, what should I bring?

    CRAP! sort of...
UPDATE: My best friend from CA is coming into Rochester that weekend, so I won't be able to join you guys this time around. SOMEDAY!!!

@Diello - my surgeon gave me a fair bit of counsel before each procedure, and I elected to go with IV sedation during the grafting and implanting surgeries. If you indulge in the weed, it can be quite effective in brownie form for pain relief after any painful procedure.

They're coming for the gay pride parade/festival/picnic, so it's no dice this time, BUT the boyfriend has guaranteed me that we will come up in mid-late August (hopefully, the swelling will have gone down from the surgery- it took FOREVER the first time).

@diello I came from Rochester to Montreal, and grew up in Rochester, but I actually live in Columbus, Ohio right now. Am finally heading back that way next week.

@chainsaw I hope to someday walk a similar path (rochester to Montreal, learn a little French, then come back down, but stop in Toronto. Forever)

@jimmyjungle - we have rules and stuff - Whitechapel Rules Apply.

Also, No Cuddling. Or Puking. That's about it.

@ diello - I hope to someday meet you. And French is a nice idea but it's not all it's cracked up to be.

    Dammit, dammit, dammit.

I moved to Toronto in September, and I was all set to FINALLY make a Toronto meet-up, but I'll be in Winnipeg this weekend. Ah well, maybe next time.

@Hex - did you get the email I sent you a couple of days ago? Not sure I typed your address correctly.

    GAH!
I've dropped to a definite maybe.

Sadly a documentary I am involved it is supposed to been shooting tomorrow night (I did everything I could to move that date, to no avail)
In good news, the subject hasn't responded in while, so it may get canceled (which I am hoping happens) freeing me to show up.

Apologies to all if I don't show though.
