Question: Would anyone happen to have the second Fourth World Omnibus that I could take a peek at? They're out of print and I need my heroin-like shot of Jack Kirby goodness.
  1.  (9948.82)
Possibly, but if I do it'll be in one of the ten large Rubbermaid tubs housing most of my comic collection.

I mentioned this before but I'm probably not gonna make it down until 7:30ish or 8. Should we just look for you under your last name for the doorcode, Greasemonkey?

I just said goodbye to our New York Whitechapellers, there are parts of my living room where I can't see the floor for empties, and I now have enough leftovers to last a week. Epic party, many thanks to you all for making it such a hit!

Someone left an MP3 player by my computer; it's a slate-grey Archos 2. There's also a black cotton bag with a Mark's Work Warehouse bag inside it, and a reusable hot-cold pack. Oh, and there's a copy of Jimmy Olsen: Superman's Pal, an issue of From Beyond The Unknown, and an issue of Doom Patrol. Someone also left a few mounted sepia photographs on my desk, and there's a pair of amber tinted shades on the coffee table. Send me an email if any of these things are yours and I'll get them back to you.

There are few bacchanals that would leave that particular collection of detritus behind. Sounds like it was a fun night!

I'll most likely be doing it again at the end of August. I can't host in September because my mum is coming to stay for a month, and we won't have enough space. We'll have to rent a hall if any more people want to come - my apartment was bursting at the seams last night.

I'll actually be in Buffalo at some point between August 15th and August 26th... not sure of exact dates yet. Should they coincide, I'll try to make the August one.

    Oh! A few things!

    @Allana, TORONTO NEWSGIRLS!

@FC FLASH SHOE/UMBRELLA HOLDER FOR $6.62! UMBRELLA FOR LESS THAN A BUCK! As for the lighting stands, I'm seeing them on ebay usually ranging from about $20-$25 with free shipping. But still, if you want to borrow my spare one, you're more than welcome to. Until I can afford another SB-600 (which...ha) I won't be needing it.

@Alan It was amazing to finally meet you and I'm still honoured that I convinced you to get over here. Glad you liked the beer I was giving you and I really enjoyed our chats. Hopefully I'll have the chance to head down your way next time. :)

@greasemonkey, as always, you and your lovely wife were amazing hosts who ensured all our needs were met. Thank you for hosting yet another epic party and for putting up with us. Also, I need to know where you got that horseradish cheese because that fondue was divine. Oh! And if it's okay, I'll stop by in a week or two when I finish my book so I can lend it to your wife. :)

@Mr. Hex ...hope your throat didn't hurt. Also, when I got home I looked up Big Barda and..yeah. I approve and am flattered by the comparison you made.

Oldhat didn't mention that Hex's throat hurts because she picked him up by it last night, saving us from his antics. Hex was acting out a fight scene from a movie to wind up Alan, with Alan looking confused but with a good-to-go gleam in his eye, when our now-official bouncer picked them both up gently by their necks and told them to sit down like good fellows. Which they did. And they were both fine, because this is Whitechapel and we are cool. And do we do not bother Oldhat because she will totally murder you and pick her teeth with your bones.

@Oldhat - it was a pleasure as always to see you guys. Whitechapel debauches are always legendary, and last night's bash had them all whipped. It's my privilege to host you all. (Although we'll have to find a larger venue if more people come next time.)

The horseradish cheddar is from Parliament Steak And Chops, near Parliament and Winchester in Old Cabbagetown. They have a deli section with a bunch of amazing cheeses - last night's fondue was 1 part horseradish cheddar to two parts mozzarella. And yes, by all means drop in one afternoon and drop off that book. Drop me an email whenever you feel like coming.

Hey all, just crossed the border into the states. Hex wasn't far off about that rubber glove treatment coming back in, acually...

Greasemonkey, you and your wife were amazing hosts, and thank you again for putting me and Rachel up for the night. Like I said, you ever find yourself in our part of the world and need anything at all, just let me know.

Oldhat, thank you so much for the Fin du Monde and Summer Weiss! Even more than that, thank you so much for inviting me to your lovely city! It was damn wonderful to meet you, and we really, really should do so again! Now that I know the way up, I think I'll be visiting Toronto again before too long - and I'll be sure to bring along some more of my countrymen's brews! And the next time you're in the states and need a chauffeur and a native guide, I'm your man!

Mr. Hex, god damn man, it was fantastic to be able to put a name and voice to your posts! I promise not to tell my associates in The Company about your more deviant crimes! Keep on keeping on, sir!

Patrick Glover, next time I make it up, I'll make sure to get some of B'ridge's Agave Wheat up with me, as well as another pack of Vanilla Porter, since you seemed to like it! You and your lovely lady were fantastic company.

Florence, I can't wait to see how your photos from the evening turn out!

Everyone else, my god, it was unbelievably great to finally meet you all! LONG LIVE WHITECHAPEL!
