    Hey All,
    I miss the SPIT (Self Portrait Image Thread, tyvm Zoetica)Threads, and, praying for only a few arse eels, decided to take the initiative this month and see what happens.

    It is the month of the great experiment embarkation for the Brits, and Independence Day for the Americans, and etc, and et cetera, so Red, White, and or Blue pictures could be fun, or something stereotypically celebratory this month, in your home country (or someone else's. . .)

    Here's me, egg headed, glasses and with a blue shirt
    Man standing, wearing a blue shirt.

    From being out under the blazing ball of fire yesterday, taking in Canada Day festivities. Aloe and lidocaine are my friends today.

    Remember to put on your sunscreen, folks!

    Yay SPIT is back! I have to agree with dorkmuffin:

    [05:13:35] [dorkmuffin] i love the spit thread
    [05:13:38] [dorkmuffin] i love seeing your shiny faces

    According to the people I know who use a mac, my face does not come off as shiny, but rather as over-saturated. I'm not sure if it's my camera or my computer, but I swear my pictures look normal to me - here's my latest picture of self, complete with new 12mm tunnels and over-saturation.

    @stefanj Awesome lamp! where's it from?

    @thewaltonsare lovely filters, and shot of you and your man!

    @Mojo, where are you that you can still wear a hoodie and coat? Today, in Detroit, the head index was 108, and we had terrific red and orange sky storms, none of which I got pictures of

    @FC YOU POOR THING

    @Yskaya You're welcome, I missed SPIT(s) too. Any links to your illustration work?

    @Alastair chibi WCeer?

    @Taphead grats on the weightloss! My wife is pregnant, and I am apparently going through a sympathy pregnancy, given the belly I've found myself with. . . how'd you loose the weight, if you dont mind my asking?

    @Oda, tell Dorkmuffin she needs to post her own damn shiny face, then! Also, how long have you had gauged ears?!

    @phill_sea - In my case it was mostly a case of getting rid of my habit of having seconds at dinner. Being too broke to afford beer was also helpful, I think...
  6.  (9989.16)
    @ Oda, you look great as always :)

    @phill_sea-Thanks, I like that one of me and my man quite a lot. And it's an actual plastic Holga lens that fits my camera, I love it. Plus, it forces me to manually adjust the settings which is teaching me more about exposure and the technical parts of photography in which I am, sadly, lacking.

    Here's another one that I did a little while back
    Holga me :)

    @taphead, I will try this "No seconds" of which you speak. Giving up beer could be trickier though. . . maybe if i pre-spend money on women and drugs, that will help. . .

    @Icelandbob I love that shot. I am envious, and will attempt to get a similar shot at a wedding this evening. No promises, though

    @Thewaltonsare manual camera settings are always nice, and in that second picture, you could be anywhere from 23-40 years old. W.out your man as something of a temporal reference, I'd have no clue how old you are.

    @Dorkmuffin You're shiny? I was too entranced w. your mustache.
